Description
Lexology PRO is looking for someone to join a team of content writers whose focus is helping in-house lawyers and compliance officers to ensure their organisations are operating legally, compliantly and ethically. A legal background is not essential, but an interest in writing about the law for a B2B legal audience is.
You will be joining a team which has a global reach across 50+ legal work areas, so there are many opportunities to learn and develop both knowledge and writing skills. The type of content we produce ranges from news to interviews, and in-depth guides, but our focus is research and feature-style.
Key Responsibilities
- Write weekly feature and analysis content that is timely, accurate, balanced, appropriate for the in-house legal and compliance teams, which conforms to LBR’s editorial ethos
- Source and produce interviews with in-house counsel and compliance professionals by developing your own portfolio of contacts
- Support the Lexology PRO team in maintenance and production of legal guide-style content
- Keep up-to-date with relevant global legislative and regulatory change and monitor the latest practice and market developments, for the team to develop new and maintain existing content
- Conduct in-depth legal research on a daily basis
- Establish and maintain a network of local and international external law firm and in-house counsel contributors by attending events and other avenues
- Support routine processes eg regularly maintain the curation of Lexology PRO hubs
- Be able to work to strict internal deadlines
- Work collaboratively as part of a broader Lexology PRO team and with teams across the business to identify and resolve issues
- Represent the brand at conferences and networking events for the purpose of building contacts, sourcing information and positively representing the title
- Assist with any other tasks that are deemed to fall within the content writer’s remit, at the request of the deputy editor or managing editor.
