The Hotel:
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is a premium 4.5-star resort style hotel overlooking the beautiful, white sandy beaches of Brighton-Le-Sands and Sydney's picturesque Botany Bay. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and on track to be one of the best event venues in NSW.
Job Summary:
As our passionate and dedicated Marketing Manager this autonomous role will see you be responsible for all marketing and communication activities, to increase and improve the positioning, presence and awareness of our newly renovated hotel. You will strive to develop innovative marketing opportunities, and manage marketing activities and campaigns for all relevant market segments in both the domestic and international markets. The role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
The Marketing Manager manages and executes the brand & marketing strategy with duties that include:
- Work with the Hotel Director of Sales and Marketing and Group Director of Marketing to develop and execute a hotel and venue marketing strategy across all owned and third-party channels.
- Deliver an annual marketing calendar of data-driven campaigns for Hotels and assess results ongoing to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Develop a comprehensive and results driven social media strategy per venue and execute in line with the overall marketing strategy, including influencer strategies and social media specific campaign initiatives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive EDM calendar in-line with overarching marketing strategy.
- Manage data capture and growth of F&B email databases, as well as third-party listings/platforms including seven rooms.
- Support hotel, F&B and C&E teams with collateral development including website management, compendium, menus, signage and app materials.
- Manage local media relations and proactively seek positive PR opportunities and famils, manage enquiries, press kit development and tactical opportunities.
- Manage the execution, development and rollout of hotel brand assets and content across both owned and third party channels in-line with brand standards (collateral, photoshoots, assets).
- Develop a regular reporting schedule for key Hotel campaign metrics that reports top-level results, meaningful insights and articulates trends & forecasts.
- Look to acquire, foster and review potential hotel partnerships across all areas of the business (accommodation, F&B) and complete ongoing reviews to determine success.
- Assist with member-first acquisition strategies to continue to drive membership at a hotel level and maintain a customer and loyalty first approach to campaigns and customer experience.
- Report on revenue, growth across marketing and communications channels monthly and as required.
Skills & Experience:
- The successful applicant will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years’ experience working in marketing. These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into action.
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing and communication campaigns using a variety of channels, working both proactively and reactively.
- Demonstrated experience in producing and publishing social media content in a range of different brand voices in both copywriting and creative.
- Outstanding relationship builder, across the business with the ability to partner with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated successful track record in developing and delivering new products and services.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Canva, Indesign, SEO, SEA and Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
- Creative thinking with high level attention to detail.
- Good project management skills in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
