Here at Fresh, we are looking to appoint a General Manager for our 120 affordable homes scheme, College Road in Croydon.
The 35-storey tower contains 120 spacious one- to three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 51-85m2. All of the units are being operated at discount market rent. The homes boast beautiful views and benefit from high-quality finishes, as well as the Vision Volumetric system’s high levels of acoustic insulation, soundproofing them from the busy urban environment.
The position offers full time hours working Monday to Friday from between 8:00am – 6:00pm, where you’ll be working in an exciting, collaborative, people-first environment dealing with marketing, future strategies, budget control and collection with the opportunity to build your own career in a fast-growing industry.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Working alongside our exceptional Marketing Team to develop and implement a plan, including completing competitor analysis and keeping up to date with market changes to ensure the building is let.
- People Management acting as mentor offering guidance and training and conducting regular 1-2-1s.
- Drafting budgets utilising forecasting and expenditure reports (within approved budgets).
- Taking and receiving payments and managing accounts in arrears as well as liaising with the account’s teams processing invoices and compiling P&L reports.
- Managing the process for all statutory testing within the property ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislations and ensuring all H&S issues are investigated correctly, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- The role offers the opportunity to balance the operational aspects of the role with creating a social and fun atmosphere to create an environment where residents want to live and work.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is a people person and passionate about developing people and working collaboratively with a genuine drive for creating an incredible environment for our residents. Experience of property management including managing rents/ arrears would be highly desirable; however, it’s more valuable to us that you’re able to stay calm and professional in a sometimes-pressured environment, can successfully manage your team and keep people motivated, and have excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your style depending on your audience.
