About The Role
From the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications, to mentoring and guiding junior members of the team, this is a responsible and interactive role. You will work closely with product and project management teams to define requirements and provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development life cycle.
Duties include:
- Designing and developing software solutions that meet customer and business needs.
- Reviewing and taking part in code reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
- Implementing isolated and integrated software-based solutions.
- Attending design reviews and actively contributing to improving the quality of the proposal put forward.
- Strengthening the interfaces with other departments.
- Keeping up to date with advances in software development, identifying opportunities to leverage them to improve our software development processes.
- Providing estimation and complexity insights into features request for planning activities.
- Collaborating with other departments including Product Management and Software Quality teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has both the technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to lead by example. A pivotal cross-functional role, you must feel confident explaining technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and enjoy creative problem solving.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, ideally in a start-up.
- A strong proficiency in programming languages e.g. Python.
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of test automation, its use in building scalable and robust software platforms.
- Experience with cloud computing, ideally AWS.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant technical experience in a real-world setting.
- A deep understanding of software design principles and best practices.
