Overview
Inside Sales Specialists communicate with existing customers to understand their needs and generate new leads/opportunities of new potential accounts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about our residential customers and the associated product offering, while utilising your sales, relationship building and technical skills. You will communicate with new and existing dealers of Lutron products in the residential market, helping with product education, product selection, selling support, lead referrals and order coordination.
Responsibilities
- Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls and lead follow-ups.
- Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities.
- Interact with selected residential dealers via phone, email, and chat as their main sales contact at Lutron. You will assist in onboarding new accounts, training existing small accounts to utilise proven selling approaches and sales tools in order to grow, qualify incoming project leads, and help answer questions/resolve issues in a timely manner, teach accounts to successfully navigate working with Lutron.
- Build a strong knowledge of our innovative lighting control, lighting and shading products and solutions.
- Gain a strong understanding of market dynamics in the residential custom electronics market space. Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers.
- Utilise our systems, such as SFDC and NICE inContact, to manage cases and customer inquiries. Maintaining and improving the data quality of prospects on SFDC.
- Researching for new leads and upselling products and services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an inside sales or customer-centric role required.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to efficiently work in fast-paced environment while navigating multiple systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Technical proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and customer interaction platforms (NICE inContact).
- Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
