The role
We’ve created a new global role for a skilled individual to take responsibility for our global physical operations and expansion.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth running of our physical space globally, ensuring it’s safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
- Manage contractors and suppliers for our facilities.
- Oversee all office and workshop improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Find, negotiate, and fit out office and workshop openings in new locations.
- Manage a small team in the UK and the US.
- Collaborate with Hardware & Operations teams on Health & Safety requirements.
- Work with the Head of Security to ensure the physical security of our sites.
- Create and manage the budget for all costs associated with facilities management.
- Drive Wayve’s strategy for minimising our environmental impact.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and standards.
About you
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
Essential
- A visionary with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Several years of construction and facilities management experience, including warehousing and workshop space.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Demonstrable background in Health and Safety management.
- Budget management experience.
- Numeracy and data skills for translating workforce planning into physical space design.
- Contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High energy, self-directed individual able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong action orientation and team management skills.
This is a full-time role, based onsite in our London office. Some travel to our facilities in the US and Canada will be required, as well as occasional travel to Europe.
