About the role:
As an Insurance Advisor within the Exeter Agency, you will play a key role in ensuring the office runs like clockwork and our customers are always happy. Providing exceptional customer service, you will handle enquiries, provide insurance quotations and undertake insurance transactions and general sales tasks with a ‘can-do’ proactive enthusiasm. This role is an exciting opportunity for anybody who is looking to join a well-respected branch of NFU Mutual with the opportunity for future development within our business. Full training in a friendly and supportive environment will be provided for this office-based role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Speaking to customers to resolve queries, provide quotations and discuss our range of products and services.
- Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.
- Initiate proactive sales activity to create new business opportunities for the Agency.
- Obtain appointments for our Financial Advisor to contribute towards our Agency target.
- Responding to customers calls and emails professionally and promptly.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products, as applicable to product licences.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of agency and NFU Mutual staff.
- Capable IT user including Microsoft programs.
About you:
- Possess good people skills both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to problem solve and use own initiative.
- Ambitious and target driven.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Ideally someone with insurance experience, but this is not essential; honesty, integrity, due skill, care and diligence are vital.
