An incredible opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join FM Conway’s dynamic and thriving Structures division working on a major structural refurbishment project in South London. In this key role, you will lead and manage all commercial activities and drive the change control process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a multi-million-pound refurbishment project, offering a chance to be a driving force behind a major development in the area. This is a permanent, full-time position based on site in South London.
The duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role will include:
- Undertaking cost value analysis for all aspects of the works carried out under the contract
- Performing risk, value management and cost control activities to benefit the contract
- Leading and driving the procurement strategy, including cost value analysis and procurement of sub-contractors
- Maintaining awareness of different contracts in current use, ensuring all current legislations and document control is adhered to
- Monitoring and reporting forecast against cost and value and the management of cashflow
- Providing contractual advice and support to the project and site team
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and client-focused Senior Quantity Surveyor with previous experience working in the construction or highways industry. You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and you will have excellent knowledge of JCT, ICE and NEC contracts. A CSCS card is essential for this role.
