Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Lead to support job evaluation and provide critical data inputs for the creation of a new pay and grading system for our organization of 12,000 employees. The Data Lead will play a pivotal role in improving data quality and leveraging data analysis to support high-impact decision-making. This role will also be responsible for establishing a data workstream, defining deliverables, options for delivery and successful execution.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and business stakeholders, to ensure a smooth and successful data analysis, cleansing and migration.
Depending on the data migration strategy agreed, this may involve procuring and managing the work of specialist data migration agencies, building a temporary in-house data migration capability or a hybrid of the two.
Key Deliverables:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading into the re-implemented system.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, mapping, validation, reconciliation and signoff rules for successful migration.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, and the Oracle Programme team to understand the data issues with the current HR and P & G framework.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and develop strategies to address them.
- Lead and manage a team of (external or internal) data specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Define and implement data migration practices, standards, and methodologies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data migration plans, data mapping, and transformation rules.
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure the availability of necessary infrastructure, tools, and resources for data migration activities.
- Monitor and track data migration progress, identifying and resolving any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
- Conduct data migration testing and validation to ensure successful migration and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with HR & Programme teams to ensure data migration activities are aligned with project timelines and objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on data migration status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
