Our Advanced Support Workers provide person-centred support to empower adults with learning disabilities and autism. These individuals may display behaviours that challenge and have complex needs. You will support them to live a fulfilled and independent life back in the community.
As part of your role, you will work alongside our dedicated Therapeutic Support Team, who will support you through weekly team meetings, during which you can reflect on the person-centred support being provided and have an active input into an individual’s development.
You will receive training around autism, forensic risk, trauma-informed support, and positive behavioural support. We will enable you to gain your essential skills certificate. You will have regular supervision meetings with your team leader to support your development.

- £13.53 per hour, plus an additional sleep rate of £65.15.

What the job involves day-to-day:
- Support individuals with complex needs and histories in a sensitive/person-centred way to integrate people back into the community to live a fulfilled life.
- Provide a minimum of 2:1 support to individuals with complex needs and various mental health diagnoses.
- Play an integral role in the therapeutic team and contribute to updating the Support plans.
- Work as part of a team in a challenging environment.
- Be responsible for administering medication.
- Document and maintain accurate records of support provided.
- Support individuals to get involved in different activities in and around their local areas, in line with their hobbies and interests.
- Empower people to gain life skills; maintaining their own home, shopping, cooking, cleaning, managing their own finances, and other aspects of their life.
- Work in line with Millennium Support core values to achieve positive outcomes.
