About The Role
We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for managing the ever-increasing Cloud Infrastructure within ABS.
Key elements of the role will involve the implementation of Tooling / Automation needed for the Environment Management Team. It will include Design, Automation, Execution, and Governance of the following:
- Infrastructure Build activities using IaC
- Migration of Environment Management workflows from SharePoint to Service Now
- Building various Reporting capabilities related to Environment Usage/Costs trends etc. using Power BI
The other part of the role will involve close engagement with vendors to ensure the requirements for each Environment are defined and each Environment is built to specification. The role will also play a key part in the coordination of issue resolution with suppliers and in-house teams.
This role sits within our Business Services Division (MS ABS) which supports our entire organisation through IT, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Facilities. Our vision is to be a trusted partner and solution provider of choice.
What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing
- Work on Design and Automation of key Environment Management Processes / Tasks.
- Work on Migration of existing Environment Portal to Service Now.
- Work on Automating the Environment Build Activities using IaC and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Work on Execution and Automation of the Monthly Azure Billing to ensure correct charges are applied to Projects.
- Engagement with Projects/Programs and work with Release Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Development Operations, and Service Transition to plan and understand environment demand/usage.
- Work with Suppliers to provision and allocate the necessary Environments.
- Managing Environment related risks and clashes through engagement with Project teams and Release Managers.
- Work on Analysis of Environment costing and liaise with Projects for Environment Cost optimization.
- Work on Building and Enhancing new and existing Audit Controls within the Environment Management function.

What We Need From You
- Service Now Development experience.
- Understanding of Cloud Technologies, especially Azure.
- Hands-on experience in scripting using Azure CLI and PowerShell.
- Experience / Exposure in the following:
- Terraform or Bicep
- YAML
- Azure DevOps
Skills that are good to have
- Azure Certification would be a great plus.
- Ability to learn new Technology and have a strong Development background.
- Deep understanding of ITIL and Environment Management Processes.
- Technical acumen and strong emphasis on Process/Governance, to work with various Technical and Non-Technical Teams.
