This is a fantastic time to be joining the department as we continue the deployment of our digital strategy, develop and embed new ways of providing services and work toward using our workforce more effectively. This role allows you to play a pivotal part in this and provides an opportunity to influence one of the country's highest profile NHS Trusts.
The role provides an opportunity to support the Trust and the Directorate to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of vital outpatient booking services, deliver key quality and performance indicators and to champion key service improvements.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative and strong leader. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to work well under pressure; meeting the challenges of working to deadlines and will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. You will have excellent managerial skills and experience – someone who is positive and focused on delivering service excellence - and someone who can lead a large team to achieve service change positively and effectively to deliver departmental and Trust strategic objectives.
We are a multi-site outpatient operation and the successful candidate may be expected to work across sites if appropriate, demonstrating flexibility and providing support as and when required. (Hospital transport is available between sites).
You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the NHS and the current operational performance agenda and how performance and service delivery is managed across a large complex organisation.
