This is a Hybrid role, the Software Engineering Team works from our London (Shoreditch) Offices 1-2 days per week.
Engineering - Payments & Finance: We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our Payments & Finance team to help us build the best credit card and payment products for small businesses.
We’re driving exciting initiatives to globalize Capital On Tap’s Payments and Finance offerings. Our focus is on rebuilding our Payments ecosystem to be vendor-agnostic and scalable globally. This includes rethinking repayment methods like Direct Debit and Acquired Card, integrating them into a new Repayments API, and expanding repayment options through new vendor partnerships. We’re also enhancing automated payments and developing a flexible Card API. A key part of the role will involve integrating with payment partners and automating manual processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll build robust and scalable solutions using .Net technology.
- From the first line of code to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement - you’ll own the SDLC.
- Teamwork makes the dream work - you’ll partner with Product Managers, QA’s, Site Reliability/Platform Engineers and fellow Software Engineers.
- You’ll build bulletproof unit and integration tests to keep our software sharp and our users happy.
- Bugs happen. When they do, you’ll be ready to troubleshoot and tweak as needed.
- You’ll bridge the gap between tech speak and business goals, ensuring everyone’s on the same page and moving forward together.
We’re Looking For:
- A lively character that can naturally rally the troops, whilst expertly balancing enthusiasm with control.
- Obsessed with customer experience and never being satisfied with the way things are, demonstrated through tangible elevation of customer satisfaction.
- Experience of leading a diverse team of up to 100 heads, with the ability to adapt your style and approach to meet all required situations.
- Comfortable with producing and presenting strong proposals based upon sound and well-constructed rationale.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and self-directed, and able to move at pace and within uncertainty.
