Description
We are currently seeking a Head of Off-Page SEO to join our growing award-winning team. This is a remote position with occasional visits to the office as needed.
As Head of Off-Page SEO you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive off-page SEO strategy to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings for our clients. The role involves a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and the ability to measure and report on the impact of off-page SEO efforts.
You will also be involved in the development of the service e.g. Digital PR, Creative campaigns, etc., to help enhance and evolve the wider off-page SEO and Organic team offering. This role will collaborate closely with the Head of Organic, Head of SEO, and other departments to ensure alignment of strategies and maximize overall organic performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement an off-page SEO strategy that aligns with the overall client goals. Conduct competitor analysis to understand their off-page SEO tactics and identify opportunities. Stay updated on the latest search engine algorithms and adjust strategies accordingly.
Link Building: Oversee link-building campaigns and off-page strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative websites. This might involve content marketing, guest blogging, link reclamation, and unlinked mentions.
Brand Building and Outreach: Ensure the effective management and development of relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the target industry. Develop and oversee outreach campaigns to secure mentions and backlinks on relevant websites.
Analysis and Reporting: Track the performance of off-page SEO campaigns using analytics tools to measure their impact on website traffic, rankings, and conversions. Generate reports for stakeholders to showcase the effectiveness of off-page SEO efforts.
Team Management: Lead, coach, and manage a team of off-page SEO specialists (approximately 12 in total, with 2-3 direct line reports) in both content and outreach sub-teams, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
Team Development: Train and mentor team members on the latest off-page SEO techniques and best practices.
Client Development and Growth: Develop strong partnerships with key client senior contacts to ensure a robust understanding of their objectives, strategy, and pain points to maintain high client satisfaction and identify upsell, cross-sell, and referral opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within the organisation, such as Paid Media, and Growth teams, to ensure a unified SEO approach.
