Job Description Summary:
We’re looking for Senior Android Product Engineers to join our Mass Affluent Digital Experience (MADE) lab in Leeds. Mass Affluent is the segment of customers with between £50,000 and £5 million in investable assets. We have close to three million Mass Affluent customers, and we are working hard to create greenfield personalised and tailored offerings to ensure a beautiful banking experience.
What do we need to see from applicants?
As a minimum to be considered we’ll need to see evidence of the following in your CV:
Essential:
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin / Java
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Professional hands-on experience in designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of Android phones and tablets
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Unit, UI and Snapshot Testing
- Solid understanding of software architecture (MVVM), design patterns (SOLID, DRY) and best practices
- In-depth knowledge and experience of interacting with RESTful APIs
- Experience collaborating with Product and Design colleagues
- A good understanding of Git and source code management
- Knowledge of agile development practices, continuous integration and test automation (e.g. TDD, BDD)
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
- Experience of technical guidance and mentoring
