The Role
We’re looking for a Studio Manager to oversee smooth business operations and exceptional client service by coordinating studio activities, managing resources, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Key responsibilities include overseeing workflows, using our project management system Mavenlink to interrogate and oversee resource and production requirements ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
The Studio Manager will ensure operational efficiency by managing resources and communication, supporting teams in delivering excellent results. This role also helps create strong client proposals, inform pricing decisions based on resource needs, and provide key insights into resource needs linked to revenue, impacting client satisfaction and the company’s reputation.
Responsibilities
Studio Management:
- Oversee studio work planning, coordinate with producers, and allocate resources based on project needs.
- Manage weekly production meetings to plan workflow.
- Review and manage leave/sick requests, update Mavenlink, and address conflicts.
- Collaborate with the Head of Content Services on resourcing decisions.
Resource Management:
- Accountable for Content Services resourcing against planned and forecasted projects; optimizing team utilization and addressing over/under capacity with the Head of Content Services.
- Analyse historical project performance for future cost optimisation and accuracy in Mavenlink.
- Review and input into project cost estimates in Mavenlink informing client proposals.
- Generate forecasts linking resourcing demand to business revenue and plan capacity for client practice groups.
- Support project health reviews addressing delivery issues.
- Ensure accuracy in forecast role demand aligned to revenue projections.
- Approve and facilitate freelance bookings, liaise with freelance teams for timesheet and allocation verification and oversee spend tracking.
Shared responsibilities:
- Resolve unstaffed project demands by securing in-house or freelance resources.
- Collaborate with project leads to identify and secure the best team members/freelancers based on skills required for project.
- Participate in project health sessions to gather insights for future pricing.
- Monthly reporting on consulting capacity vs revenue forecast per ‘practice group’.
- Ensure teams adhere to the project review process, particularly in terms of resource needed and any 3rd party cost expected.
Qualifications / Experience
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing diverse teams and schedules.
- Ability to navigate conflicts between priorities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Mavenlink, file storage solutions, like MS Sharepoint, Egnyte.

Salary
£30,000 - £40,000
