Our client, a nationwide provider of powered access machinery, is currently seeking an experienced management professional to run its sales team on a national basis and assist in its continued growth. With a strong package and long-term opportunity, this is a great role for an experienced Manager within access, plant, tool or related sector seeking an exciting and challenging opportunity.
The Role
- Managing, training, and recruiting a sales team of 10-15 on a national basis.
- Working with both the field sales team and internal sales team to maximize existing and new business opportunities.
- Overseeing the business’ marketing and overall sales strategy.
- Traveling to the company’s various depots across the UK to ensure high-level sales performance.
- Representing the business at trade fairs and exhibitions.
- Where required, working with larger customer accounts in relation to powered access requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in management having managed and developed field sales teams successfully. You will preferably have experience of working either with powered access, plant hire, or tool hire, though other related industries such as material handling may be considered. Given our client has depots across England, an element of travel is required, though you can, within reason, be based from anywhere up to the North of the country.
The Company
With multiple depots across the UK, the company is a well-known provider of various types of powered access equipment including cherry pickers, scissor lifts, and low-level access. In addition to powered access, they’re also heavily involved in IPAF and other aspects of Health and Safety Training. Having been established for some time and their roots being in the Midlands, the company has grown organically to ensure smooth operations continue and now wants to expand further across the UK with a new Manager to work nationally.
