Group Relationship and Sales Executive
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join SwimTrek within the Group Sales team.
This key role requires a dynamic and well-organised individual to undertake a mixture of customer-facing and sales responsibilities. The Group Relationship and Sales Executive role works with the Global Group Sales and Partnerships Manager to source, nurture, and convert leads into small-group or private-group bookings. The role will require you to work closely with the Customer Service, Marketing, Product, and Sales teams in order to maximise commercial opportunities concerning bespoke, private and small group bookings.
Key responsibilities include;
- Administration of group trip bookings
- Work closely with the groups sales team, and the customer service team to quickly and accurately finalise all group booking details on the SwimTrek booking system.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts for clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with their requirements;
- Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to close deals and achieve sales targets;
- Ensure that all booking administration is done correctly to reflect the high standards expected of SwimTrek and by our guests. This will include own guests and leads converted by the Group Sales team;
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all inquiries, requests, and issues.
Nurture and convert group and private trip leads - Building on the leads and contacts already acquired, maintain relationships and nurture leads through to conversions;
- Identify and work closely with lead guests to find the most suitable locations and dates for their group;
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with lead guests and all other members of the group with regard to their bookings and their overall SwimTrek experience;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives;
- Maintain strong bonds with groups post-trip to encourage a higher retention and rebooking rate;
- Working leads through the group pipeline;
Acquire new group and private trip business - Identify and capitalise on opportunities to increase the number of private and group trip departures that we run each year, both through reaching out to past SwimTrek guests and by attracting new private groups to the business;
- Increase the database of school groups to approach about taking part in a private trip;
- Increase the database of swimming clubs to approach about taking part in a private trip;
- Increase the database of corporate/charity organisations to approach about taking part in a private trip;
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of our products/services;
- Maintain close links with the pool and open water swimming communities, through attending events, networking and monitoring online activities, and constantly look for opportunities to offer group trips;
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
Skills and abilities required (but not limited to)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills and ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative
- Travel industry experience, especially in organising groups/teams
- Experience working in a sales environment
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience working in a customer service environment
- Ability to build professional relationships with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures adapting the message accordingly
- Using own initiative to solve problems;
- Experience working in a busy team environment;
- Experience using Microsoft Office effectively for general administration
- Able to travel overseas or for events and be flexible with working hours
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Desirable but not Essential
- To be able to speak a foreign language
- Passionate about adventure travel
- Experience in using a CRM
- Degree level education

SALARY : Competitive

WORKING HOURS : Full time based on 37.5 hours a week
