Head of HR Business Partnering
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the People Services & Partnering function and develop a high performing team.
- Lead and manage the People Partners to develop and embed a strategic business partnering model, collaborating, influencing, and enabling business leaders and their teams to deliver their priorities through effective People Planning.
- Manage Subject Matter Expert leads responsible for the operations of their functions.
- Utilize expert Employee Relations to lead the review and ongoing enhancement of the Employee Relations capability within the People Directorate, ensuring practices, policies, and ways of working are fit for purpose and up to date with employment legislation.
- Work with the People Directorate Management Committee to evaluate and improve the employee experience by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practices aligned with the People & Culture Strategy and values.
- Collaborate with People Directorate Leaders to review and improve the employee and service value proposition to meet the organization's needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead the review of existing HR systems and technology in collaboration with the People & Culture Strategy Programme, recommending improvements including digital solutions that support the strategic People agenda.
- Work collegiately across the People Directorate to drive credibility with the business and deliver an excellent customer experience to all staff.
What you'll need to succeed
- Substantial evidence of successful generalist experience at this level in a complex Public Sector organization, working across the full employee lifecycle.
- Experience of leading an Employee Relations team and providing professional employment law advice.
- Demonstrable leadership and management experience, including improving policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Experience of designing, developing, or contributing to People strategies and translating strategy into action through team performance and objectives.
- Experience of close collaboration and forming strong relationships with leaders, managers, and stakeholders.
- MCIPD or equivalent.
