We are looking for a PR Account Manager to join our growing team. An energetic and ambitious self-starter who is looking to progress and make a difference. - Curiosity - ideally you will have worked in B2B tech previously, but regardless you will need to be interested, enthusiastic, and energised when it comes to immersing yourself in the sector and getting to know the key media in this space.
- Media relations skills - experienced in dealing with tech, corporate, and national media, with a proven track record for securing high volumes of top tier coverage.
- Confident with clients and the ability to provide high-quality counsel and advice.
- Trusted client handler - able to manage client communications and expectations, including how to prioritise and when to escalate issues.
- Media expert - you are able to talk knowledgeably to clients about the media landscape and about the best approaches to land coverage.
- Seniority - perhaps you are a Senior Account Executive in your current role looking for your next big step!
The Role:
- Being a safe and trusted pair of hands on your clients. Act as a first point of contact for client comms, and work closely with PR Directors and Head of PR to identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Demonstrating expertise and enthusiasm for media - nurturing relationships, identifying opportunities, monitoring the news agenda, advising clients, developing story angles, and driving coverage.
- Working closely to mentor and develop the PR executive, reviewing, advising, and encouraging, as well as leading by example.
- Acting as the day-to-day point of contact and the first port of call for client queries.
- Leading client update calls.
- Supporting the PR Director in monitoring KPIs and identifying how to meet these targets.
- Maintaining and nurturing a broad base of media relationships.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the news agenda - identifying new contacts, outlets, and trends, and how these map to our clients.
- Supporting the PR Executive on daily media monitoring to identify opportunities to put our clients in front of the media.
- Take ownership of drafting bylines, commentary, pitches, press releases, etc, with the support of the PR Executive.
- Pitching to media, identifying the right contacts and taking a tailored approach to ensure cut-through.
- Acting as a point of review and escalation for the PR Executive, including reviewing reports and emails to clients where appropriate.
- Mentor the PR executive and model and showcase best practice in client service and media relations.
- Collaboration with counterparts on Client Services, Digital, Creative, etc teams to deliver an integrated experience for clients and maximise results.
- Leading weekly team catch-ups and managing internal WIP to ensure actions are completed.
- Support on pitching PR for Fox Agency.
