Hybrid – 2 days a week in Regional Role covering the South of England
As the Head of People, you will be responsible for leading the human resources department and driving initiatives that foster a positive and engaging work environment for employees. You will play a critical role in shaping the talent strategy, developing the workforce, and ensuring that the organisation remains a top employer of choice in the retail sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic HR leader to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives and values of the organisation.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding processes to attract top talent and ensure a seamless integration into the company culture.
- Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development plans.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, motivation, and productivity across the organisation.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values equity, respect, and collaboration.
- Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior management to address organisational development needs and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives in a retail or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance across all HR functions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster innovation, and lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable HR initiatives.
