As a Solutions Architect within Professional Services team, you will have an opportunity to use your knowledge and creativity to understand the complex requirements of our customers and build a services solution proposal using ours and our partners portfolios, which you will then have to position the proposal to the customer with your sales colleagues to demonstrate the value.
You will work closely to become a trusted partner to our sales and bid teams, offering technical sales consultancy and guidance, providing them with expected effort and core task objectives in response to customer problems. Travel to client's site to provide on-site process analysis, consultation, and assistance to customers. Capture the details of customers business processes and relevant operations to help establish the steps that they should be taking to transform their business.
Responsibilities: - Participate as a member of the Zebra Professional & Learning Services Solutions team in discovery sessions to understand client's business objectives and solution requirements
- Be the key 'partner' and trusted adviser to customers regarding both solution requirements and potential capabilities to meet business needs by closely understanding customers operating environments and functional use cases
- Work with Zebra Technical Architects, Zebra Sales team & Zebra partner's solution & technical teams to design solutions that best meets the client's requirements. Key focus to be on desired outcomes for our Customers
- Understand and be able to articulate Zebra and core partner solution & technology platforms and industry best practice approaches in both the Technical and Solution arena
- Perform risk management and architectural oversight for solutions
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Customer/Partner change management process and adoption principles.
- Supporting the bid team with RFP responses, Level of Effort calculations and activity descriptions creation that articulate the value of the proposal.
- Participates in opportunity development focused on complex solutions in line with Zebra and solution strategy
- Quantifies the needs of the business to achieve value outcomes, champions required methodology, captures/reuses IP and shares recommended practices
- Maps technology to business expectations by providing traceable business outcomes while limiting technical debt
- Ability to lead and facilitate technical workshops with various stakeholders
Qualifications: - BS/BA degree relevant to Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7+ years of experience managing technical projects within the following areas: cross domain solutions, database technologies, hardware, software, data warehousing, and cloud domains
- 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within the enterprise space, translating customer needs and requirements into solutions
- Experience with RFID technology is a must
- Must have led successful systems integration and systems implementation teams (as lead engineer or lead architect) on complex customer projects
- Ability to support problem management activities
- Ability to develop or enhance service processes and provide governance on best practices
- Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors and/or channel partners
- Comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments, systems integration, and systems implementation teams
- Ability to travel within UK
- Experience with SW solutions implementation and experience with API, Java, Python is a plus
