About Our Client
Page Personnel are looking to recruit for a large well-known and growing professional services business. As they have experienced recent growth, they are now looking for a Payroll Officer to join the finance team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.
Job Description
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
- Utilising the time and attendance system to record and keep employee records up-to-date
- Updating employee personal information records and communicating to verify and revise as needed
- Running and reviewing payroll reports using the appropriate software and maintaining precise practices, records, and filing systems for auditing purposes
- Validating working hours to ensure accurate reporting
- Addressing internal and external payroll inquiries, including those from employees, HR, Finance colleagues, HMRC, etc., in a precise and professional manner
- Precisely issuing P45s and P60s within the designated time frames
- Developing standardized operating procedures for all payroll processes
- Conducting root cause analysis on errors and implementing procedures to minimise mistakes
The Successful Applicant
- A proven track record within a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness in all tasks
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional manner
- Exceptional organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
