Job Role & Responsibilities:
● Successful candidates would be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with BFSI companies with a view to sourcing Investment Banking business
● Candidate must possess strong relationships with at a senior level (preferably decision makers) and deep networks in the BFSI space
● Leverage relationships with BFSI and corporates in the FIG sector to advise them on strategic capital raising decisions and value creation initiatives including M&A, with a view to originating, negotiating, executing and closing transactions in the Capital Markets, M&A Advisory, exit options on and off exchanges and strategic investment opportunities including accessing Private Markets
● Person must also have independent relationship within the BFSI sector with the ability to actively manage relationships across all levels at prospective and existing clients
● Extensive deal experience in the BFSI sector through multiple engagements and executing transactions
● Demonstrated success in getting mandates, deal structuring and successful execution of Capital Market, M&A and PE mandates
● Good understanding of multiple sub-sectors and businesses within the BFSI domain
● Coordinating with internal Origination, Syndication and Execution Teams to successfully conclude transactions
● Imparts product knowledge to subordinates and peers in the other areas of the Company.
● Strong domain and Industry knowledge providing ability to originate, execute and close transactions
● Typically manages 3 - 4 team members
Key skills and Experience:
● CA/MBA (Core Finance & Marketing) from reputed B-schools
● 10 years + relevant experience
● Knowledge of core finance, valuations, financial modeling and financial statement analysis.
● Analysis of different sectors, preparation of pitch presentations, negotiations and sourcing of mandates.
● Deep understanding and Monitoring of Banks, Financial Services Institutions, Insurance and Non-Lending franchises.
● Strong connection and relationships with BFSI companies including access to decision makers, Business development.
● Knowledge and experience in all capital market products – IPO, FPO, Rights Issues, QIP, Private Equity and M&A Advisory
● Ideal candidate to have proven origination skills and track record origination activity evidenced by past deal activity
● Excellent coordination skills, ability to multitask, take quick decisions, handle crisis situations, quick turnaround and delivery.
● Existing client relationship and equipped to interact with the Senior Level Team at BFSI companies (preferably decision makers).
