Summary
The accountant position is based in Manila, Philippines. The accountant will provide support with the AP & AR function, reconciliations, month end, cash monitoring, general ledger tasks and general ad hoc tasks to support the team. The role will also cross train in fund accounting (unit pricing) once the primary tasks have been bedded down. The role is a hands-on role initially, with business growth this role will grow the offshore team. The applicant will have the ability to apply accounting principles to support the business.
A critical success factor of this role is the ability to demonstrate high attention to detail, problem solving and managing competing deadlines. The applicant will be a natural collaborator with a grounded/ down to earth work style to assist with business outcomes in a friendly team environment.

Responsibilities
Payment processing, Vendor set-up/ Bank Confirmation, some minor AP Rec/GL rec, replying to internal/external queries but around 80-90% of their time will be spent on processing payments. Transaction Processing: Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payment transactions, including updating of payment registers and maintaining payments systems. Cash, transactions, deal (investment performance) reconciliations. Risk and compliance controls are updated and maintained. Preparation of daily unit prices and update of general ledger / unit pricing system and supporting work papers. Assist with reconciliations and collating documents. Ability to assist other teams in the organisation (E.g fund management, operations, wider business) when required.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy or any Business related degree
Certified Public Accountant is an advantage but not required 3-5 years of finance/accounting roles with strong accounting background. Candidates with a background
