JOB SUMMARY :
Process payments and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolve discrepancies, and address outstanding balances. Ensure financial security and maintain accounting records.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process and prepare cheques for payment on time.
• Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports by preparing balance sheet schedules
accurately.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve any
accounting issues.
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents regularly.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as required by management
Requirements
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
•Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role
•Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
•Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
•Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
•Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
•Good organizational and time management skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance procedures
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others
