Finance Officer – Ballarat
Position:
gforce is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join a leading workwear and safety retailer in Ballarat. This role can be part-time or full-time.

Role Overview:
The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and facilitating clear communication with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle data entry, accounts payable/receivable.
- Perform reconciliations, including bank, credit card, petty cash, and supplier statements.
- Prepare financial accounts up to the trial balance stage and report BAS and PAYG to the ATO.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and state payroll laws.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
- Liaise with stakeholders, external accountants, and government regulatory bodies.
- Assist with additional financial tasks as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualifications and/or experience in bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Xero.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable/payable and basic payroll principles.
