An awesome opportunity is currently available for a Head of eCommerce & Digital to join a leading manufacturer who sells high quality mattresses and bedroom accessories throughout Australia on a F/T / permanent basis.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Head of eCommerce & Digital to develop and implement a robust digital & eCommerce strategic roadmap across 6 individual eCommerce brands. It's important to emphasize this is not a start-up opportunity. The foundations of the brands and websites and customer base are in place; this is an opportunity to build on it and really kick it into the next gear!
Reporting into the CEO, this role will be initially a hands-on role where the individual will be required to roll their sleeves up and execute most of the functions in the short term. Short-term assistance can be sourced through AI, contractors, or agencies, but with the plan to build and manage an in-house team of specialists to cover all critical functions.
Responsibilities:
- Developing eCommerce, digital, social and affiliate marketing strategies to drive incremental revenue growth and customer acquisition across all channels.
- Develop and grow our affiliate networks and build partnerships to increase site traffic through websites.
- Implement strategies for list growth and optimisation - including personalisation, AI recommendations, and email address acquisition strategies.
- Build and manage the EDM strategy to increase conversions and develop brand awareness.
- Develop and drive growth opportunities through social media and content, utilising the channel to capture and engage the customer.
- Create digital content that enhances the tone and voice of each individual brand.
- Manage and grow our customer & product review strategy.
- Be responsible for the optimisation of our campaigns to improve performance metrics, including click-through rates, conversion, bounce rates and cost per acquisition.
- Lead, develop, and manage the ecommerce & web development teams.
- Source new third-party vendors; conduct RFP processes, contract negotiations, and onboarding and implementation of new vendors.
- Identify ways to optimise the multiple digital funnels and improve our key performance metrics.
- Actively using data and insights to inform optimisation approaches, our spend allocation, and improve our ROI across paid channels.
- Manage existing & new SEM & SEO teams, agencies and contractors.
- Introduce and manage tools for increasing on-site engagement.
- Communicate key insights and recommendations to senior leaders across the organisation.
- Conduct analysis of digital experience, market trends, and third-party partnerships supporting the development of new and existing digital experiences.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, as well as new digital technology, approaches, resources, and opportunities.
- P&L responsibility for the budget.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years in an eCommerce / digital marketing role in a D2C or multi-channel consumer goods / retail environment.
- Strong, proven experience in developing successful eCommerce growth strategies as well as managing the execution.
- A strong, commercial acumen; the ability to plan and prioritise will be key.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, managing people and external agencies.
- Expertise in executing performance marketing strategies and managing associated budgets.
- Detail-oriented and proactive with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to analyse data effectively and make decisions that improve the performance of campaigns that align with business goals and objectives.
- Experience using AI and machine learning tools for marketing automation, predictive analytics, and personalization is strongly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of social media and digital ads platforms including Google, Meta, TikTok + various other eCommerce / digital related platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics (GA4) and/or any other equivalent analytics software.
- This individual will be a strong communicator, using data to back strategies, influence and think pro-actively.
