Northfleet are the largest fleet provider in the Pilbara and are a market leader in the transport, bus, vehicle, and crane hire industry, supplying solutions to customers throughout Perth, Pilbara, Southwest and regional Western Australia. You will be located in Perth, but you will be able to get around to all our depots around the state.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Parts Manager who has had exposure to the bus and trucking industry. Working alongside an experienced Parts Interpreter, the position is more interesting than your usual parts role. Not only do you ensure the best deals on purchasing and maintaining adequate stock levels for Northfleet, but you also get to chase down the odd ball stuff which keeps the role interesting.
This role will continuously oversee the operational requirements of the workshops and be heavily involved with the daily operations of the business. You will have complete ownership over the part procurement function and promote a culture for continual improvement.
Important to note - This is a very demanding hands-on role of a 2 person team sourcing the parts for 5+ depots and 1000 pieces of equipment.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- Full responsibility over the parts procurement function
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Strong influencing capabilities and leadership skills
- Excellence in written and verbal communication and proven relationship building attributes
- The ability to manage cost-effective freight options and logistics for local deliveries
- Experience in actively auditing and monitoring stock levels
- Ability to negotiate the best deals with suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- A willing “can do” attitude and ability to provide key support to local and regional teams
- Sound organisational skills and the ability to adapt with competing priorities
- Exposure to hire industry or transport and logistics is advantageous
