With several Flavorite sites located across Victoria, this role is based at our Tatura location which currently employs up to 350 employees.
About the opportunity:
The Flavorite Maintenance Team are excited to be seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing Maintenance team at Flavorite’s Tatura, VIC site.
As the Maintenance Supervisor you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees and contractors for all maintenance in relation to the upkeep of farm buildings, grounds and equipment.
Supervising a team of eight maintenance professionals, you will have site-wide responsibilities to ensure that the team completes maintenance works in a safe, productive, and cost-effective manner.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role will suit an experienced candidate with strong leadership skills, who is passionate about maintenance, safety, customer service, and is keen to contribute towards a positive and proactive maintenance culture.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage workloads through supervision, delegation and work order prioritisation.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Manage maintenance budgets.
- Maintain plant, equipment and buildings as specified on the work order.
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
- Diagnosing faults in performing operational maintenance of machines.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts to produce machines and equipment.
- Manage contractors to follow company policy ensuring quality of workmanship and budget KPI’s are achieved.
- Report weekly on work orders including completion, overdue and completed past due date.
- Create, monitor and manage SWMS, risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Performance management of direct reports ensuring quality and achievement of KPI’s, employee development and engagement.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Relevant trade qualification (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering - Fitter and Turner - is desirable).
- Previous experience in fitting out a Pack Shed / installation of manufacturing equipment, including automation of equipment (desirable).
- Demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to safe working practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships through all levels of the organisation.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
