About the Condé Nast Global Product and Technology (GPT) Team
As members of the GPT team, our mission is to empower our brands in achieving business goals and driving creative success. We are a team of experienced designers with expertise in visual design, user experience, interaction design, and research. We work closely with editorial, product management, engineering, and business partners to create the next generation of content publishing and consumption experiences—products that are as innovative as they are user-centric
Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements of the project and iterate with the supervisor and business stakeholder continuously
- Explain the business insights in a manner that business can understand it easily
- Identify solutions from existing research and apply it efficiently for business problems
- Apply state of the art Machine Learning,Deep Learning & RL techniques to solve a business problem
- Build quick prototypes to check feasibility and present to supervisor/business
- Articulate the solution approach to the problem in a clear, easy to understand manner
- Work closely with data engineering/services/BI teams
- Be a continuous and self-motivated learner and along with other data scientists take up new certifications, competitions, pet projects etc
- Participate in ML/DL meetups actively
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist with at least 1 year of experience in deep learning
- Bacherlor’s degree in any quants discipline - engineering or math/statistics and preferably a Masters degree in CS/IT/Statistics/MBA
- Needs to have demonstrated active participation in competition sites such as Kaggle, AV etc with a decent performance track
- Expert level proficiency in SQL, Python for data science or R
- Expert level proficiency in libraries for data science - scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, matplotlib, pytorch/tensorflow/Keras etc
- Experience in building customer propensity models for better targeting in marketing campaigns
- Experience in building word/document embedding for different NLP related tasks
- Needs to be a certified machine learning & deep learning professional(Online or fulltime courses)
- Deep hands on proficiency in implementing in Deep learning models in any one of the areas -(LSTM, CNNs,GANS etc)
- Deep hands on expertise in implementing traditional machine learning models such as Logistic/Linear Regression, KNN, Naive Bayes, various tree based bagging and boosting techniques, clustering etc
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data ecosystem such as Hadoop, Spark etc
- Prior experience in e-commerce, mass media domain is a plus
- Exposure in implementing Reinforcement Learning models
- Experience in PySpark for data science in Databricks or Spark distribution
- Experience in MLlib and dataframes
