- Strong HW design and analysis knowledge in Digital, Analog and power domains
- Should have experience in working on high speed designs which involves DDR3/2/1, PCI, SGMII, Ethernet, NAND/NOR, USB, RS232/485, SPI, I2C and having involved in Signal Integrity analysis
- Should have been involved in design, implementation and testing of ARM/PowerPC/x86/Soft Core processor based systems.
- Should have experience on analog designs which involves op-amp, ADC, DAC and filters
- Experience with low power digital design techniques and high efficiency power supply designs
- Should have experience in designing with FPGA and CPLD devices.
- Should have experience in component selection, RoHS and interacting with vendors for technical clarifications.
- Should be proficient in understanding of hardware development process for meeting product specifications, cost targets and schedule commitments
- Should have experience on using Orcad and Allegro tools for both schematics and PCB design
- Should have experience in interacting with Mechanical, thermal, firmware, FPGA/CPLD and Layout teams.
- Should have experience in FMEA and Reliability analysis
- Should have experience in understanding about the industrial standards applicable to the electronic systems/products and implementation
- Good knowledge about electronic board manufacturing processes as well as thorough understanding of hardware development process & complete project lifecycle
- Should have good HW debugging skills and HW verification methods at interface level
- Good knowledge of using lab equipment's like Oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, Electronic load, Logic Analyzers etc
- Should have knowledge and experience in EMI/EMC testing and debugging
- Should be able to understand documentation standards in the organization as well as client requirements and implement the same

- Shall be capable of designing, simulating, implementing, testing, and supporting customer issues related to microprocessor based automation products with little guidance
- Should be able to work independently with little guidance.

- Experience with Mentor Graphics design tools and Pspice simulation tool.
- Experience in developing board-level hardware for industrial control products
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Understanding the design requirements, component selection, block diagrams and Schematics entry by using Orcad tool.
- Guiding PCB engineer for layout by following client specific guidelines using Allegro tool.
- Signal Integrity, FMEA and Reliability Analysis as well as simulating analog circuits using Pspice.
- HW product life cycle including design, manufacturing, testing and validation
- Good HW debugging skills and applying verification techniques.
- Should be able to identify the tools and equipments needed for design verification
