Position Title: Organization Refresh Analyst
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid 2-3 days in the office)

Type: Part time (30 hours). Initially set up as a six-month contract (finishing 1 March 2025)
Hourly Range for US Based Staff: $26.67 - $31.37

Position Summary:
Today Special Olympics operates in 170+ countries—organized into 7 geographic regions world-wide. This regional structure was designed 20+ years ago. Special Olympics leadership felt it was time for an Organization Refresh considering Special Olympics’ growth in program complexity combined with market trends shaping the operating environment.
Special Olympics is seeking an individual to join the project management team. They would be responsible for tracking all key milestones, including determining the person responsible for each, as well as complete the task themselves as appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis as requested by the workplans. This could include: benchmarking other FP and NFP organizations, collecting and analyzing financials of organizations serving people with disabilities, interviewing professionals who are experts on a topic of relevance (e.g. using AI for fundraising, etc.)
- Conduct analysis of Special Olympics data as requested by the workplans. As this is internal data it would be done in partnership with other team members. This data could be financial, athlete counts, trends in program growth, etc.
- Work with the Project Management team to ensure timely completion of the key milestones outlined on the workplan.
- Prepare data analysis as required and share with working groups.
- Attend all working group meetings and offer suggestions/ideas on potential design solutions.
- Help assemble final recommendation package to go to the Board of Directors
Required Qualifications:
- Strong project management experience, including managing and meeting timelines.
- Ability to manage upwards.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to content creation.
- Self-starter.
- Highly organized and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload for the maximum benefit of the project.
- Highly professional in all communications with stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3 or more years relevant experience
- Previous Special Olympics experience is a plus.
- Experience using platforms such as SharePoint and Smartsheet are preferred but not required.
