Please notethat this role is based in Brasschaat,Belgium (nearby the Dutch border – Breda). We can offer a local Belgian or Dutch contract depending on the country you are living in. The position is for a fixed time only - 12 months in duration.
Your role as demand planning manager is to create, together with the demand planning team the most accurate monthly sales plan at SKU level for the next months for the Benelux Business Unit, based on a monthly process where relevant stakeholders are involved, i.e., sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, operations etc.
At the same time, you will take an important rolein gathering and applying long-term planning assumptions together with the sales and marketing teams as an input for the monthly planning process.
To secure quality in the forecast, it is important that the demand planning manager has a holistic view of the business and knows how current and future performance can and will affect the forecast.
You will also challenge and help marketing and sales on their planning and drive different projects related to Operations in the Business Unit. You will report directly to the Operations Director.
1. Conduct Forecasting process:
Make a monthly plan at SKU level on a 4-to-10-month horizon for an assigned group of customers in the BU, for all items, including co-promotions and bundles.
2. Provide insights and challenge Marketing and Sales on their weekly and monthly plans at theme and account level by using the flow forecasting tool and SKU planning tool.
3. Conduct projects within the BU and in Europe on Operations areas
4. Cooperate with the Regional Planning Team in London and work in synergies to elaborate the best baseline forecast
5. Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and throughout the organization related to Forecasting.
Play your part in our team succeeding
In this role you will join the market operations team in Benelux. Its purpose is to make sure that our consumers can find the right products from retailers and that the processes around them happen in the most efficient way. More concretely, the team delivers Business Unit demand plans, order management, inventory management, customer service and secures operational infrastructure for other market functions (Sales, Marketing). The team is also responsible for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, consumer sales data analysis and demand management.
As Demand Planning Manager, you will bring value in forecasting demand and planning retailer selling in, which will lead to an optimal distribution of LEGO products in the market to facilitate getting them in the hands of the shoppers and consumers.
