PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As the Supervisor Rail Testing you take track protection for contracted Rail Flaw Detection equipment. Provide accurate information on the results of the days work that will trigger rail replacements.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Take track protection and abide by all safety rules to ensure everyone goes home safe
- Lead job briefings, plan work for the day, ensure safety of crew
- Responsible for daily contact with the Roadmaster for collaborative ways to keep Rail Flaw Detection equipment on schedule and hit production targets
- Perform quality work ensure the safe passage of trains in compliance with the Red Book by issuing the appropriate protective slow orders
- Required to be on call on a regular basis outside of normal business hours and workdays
- Work and travel on Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba territory (Calgary to Winnipeg and Hardisty to Portage la Prairie)
- Work 2 weeks ON and 1 week OFF schedule (travel required to get to work and back home)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Drivers License
- Commercial Drivers License is an asset
- Previous Rail road experience is an asset
- High proficiency in using a computer and troubleshooting ability
- Strong interpersonal communication skills

Management Conductor Program:
