Title: Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Remote
Duration: 2 - 3 Months
Time: 8:30 - 5pm in their local time zone
PayRange: 15 - 17$/hr.
Job Comments:

There is heavy volume with year end approaching. These workers will be contacting Members to schedule them for their annual Retinal Eye test.

Scheduling takes place via outbound calls. They will have a list of eligible members, that they will then reach out to via telephone.

Front line phone position where they will negotiate/plan to get members scheduled. Prefer to have 3 years' experience in call center, working remotely.

They are held to specific metrix in the role - for example, scheduling 20-25 people in the specific event they are calling/scheduling for.

Must have Excel experience. Basic excel - navigating columns, sorting, filtering, etc.

Must be able to multitask as they will be navigating different systems while in calls with members.
Job Description:

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients for services at various ophthalmology practices in a timely, professional, and courteous manner using scripting and the scheduling guidelines established by the practices.
Essential Functions:

Receives patient calls in a high-volume call center environment and is responsible for scheduling the patient with the correct type of provider

Utilizes various systems to determine appointment availability and schedule the appropriate appointment.

Collects all relevant patient demographic information including insurance coverage, patient medical history etc.

Can educate the patient on referral process and arrange for any diagnostic testing.

Has fundamental understanding of the treatment protocols and specialty providers involved in managing diseases of the eye and vision care.

Maintain patient confidentiality.

Taking on any other responsibilities assigned by the manager
Job Specifications:

2 years of experience in a Healthcare-Related field.

Strong customer orientation and servicing skills

Demonstrate initiative in accomplishing department and company-wide goals.

Excellent communication skills with patients over the phone in an energetic and empathetic manner
