Trade Customs Analyst
3 month contract
Plano, TX (Hybrid)
A Trade Compliance professional with experience with Customs Reconciliation Filing.
Preparing FTA Reconciliation Files and working with customs broker to have them filed. (This would include, analyzing import data and comparing it to FTA certificates and preparing an amended entry data file for the customs broker to request a refund. (60% of time)
Creating standardized work by identifying and documenting each step in the reconciliation process. (20% of time)
Additional support for other activities such as FTA certificate solicitation support, drawback documentation support, etc (20% of time)
2+ years' experience preparing and filing customs reconciliation filings with U.S. Customs.
Intermediate MS Excel skills to be able to conduct the analysis and prepare an amended entry file.
Strong attention to detail
Added bonus if they:
2 + years' experience preparing and filing duty drawback claims with U.S. Customs.
2+ years' experience working for a customs broker or an importer
estimated min rate $30hr
estimated max rate $50hr
