PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position inspects track for FRA213 (track standards) compliance. It protects track that is not in compliance by taking appropriate remedial action to protect trains and crews and promotes safety with crew by conducting job audits and safety meetings.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Inspects tracks after repairs are made
- Responds to trouble calls and conducts special visual inspections following adverse weather alerts
- Exemplifies CPKC Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Specialist knowledge of one or more disciplines of railroad operations
- FRA213 (track standards) qualified
- Previous CPKC experience is preferred
- Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support mission critical railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays

Medical Requirements:
CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public. Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
