General Gastroenterologist Locums or Locums-to-Permanent Job in Texas Jackson + Coker is partnered with a valued client about 1.5 hours from DFW Airport. They are seeking a locum candidate (or locum-to-perm) who is highly skilled in General GI. Responsibilities will include inpatient call, rounding, consults, and admissions. This town offers a charming blend of small-town hospitality and rich history, featuring a picturesque town square filled with unique shops and local eateries. Job Description: -Locums or Locums-to-perm option -Starting ASAP (facility offers expedited privileges in 7-14 days with a clean background) -10-14 days per month -Willing to accept multiple physicians -Board Certification in GI required -Active Texas license or IMLC (with LOQ in hand) -Inpatient only, call only + round on assigned patients -Cerner EMR -Volume: 3-5 phone consults per day + 1-2 patients requiring procedural or in person support + 1-2 admission -Thirty minute call response time -Level 4 trauma center, 50+ total beds in the hospital Required procedures: -Upper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, PEG) -Small bowel biopsy -Lower GI endoscopy -Flexible Sigmoidoscopy -Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp) Preferred Procedures: -Upper GI endoscopy with injection of varices -Esophageal dilation/manometry -Esophageal manometry interpretation -Rigid Sigmoidoscopy Jackson and Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House Travel Agency + 24/7 Recruiter Availability + Experienced In-House Privileging Coordinators Experience why Jackson and Coker has been recognized by Forbes and Staffing Industry Analysts f
