- Government of government contracting is highly preferred
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred but realize this is rare skill.
- Has worked in a supervisory role but is happy to do daily administration as well.
Position Overview- The Operations team is seeking a motivated Procurement Manager to support new business growth objectives by meeting procurement and supply chain needs.
- This position is responsible for purchasing research related goods and services, thereby facilitating company cutting-edge technology development with suppliers, in support of future company aerospace products.
Responsibilities- Conducts, manages and maintains synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company.
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
- Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
- Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
- Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
- Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
- Initiates and facilitates supply chain enhancements to reduce latency for improved business outcomes.
- Plans and manages Procurement Department modernization and digitalization initiatives.
- Leads the design and implementation of improved procurement practices that positively impact departmental and inter-departmental workflow and
- Identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
- Serves as a member of the company Material Review Board.
Education- 6+ Years of relative work experience or relevant military experience.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business or other related field, or relevant work or military experience.
Knowledge & Skills- Required 5+ years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions.
- Required 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes.
- Required 5+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables.
- Preferred Experience using Deltek Costpoint Materials Module.
- 5+ years of experience managing supplier relationships, strategic partnerships and supplier performance.
- 5+ years of experience creating & leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Knowledge of contract structure, terms and conditions, negotiation and contracting processes.
- Experience in Government Sub-Contracts.
- Experience negotiating complex contracts.
- Experience leading teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience building positive working relationships.
