Position Description Job Summary:
The Summers-Taylor Concrete Division is seeking an Assistant Concrete Plant Manager at our Mooresburg, TN plant. The Assistant Concrete Plant Manager will assist in overseeing and participating in all plant activities and manufacturing operations. The Assistant Concrete Plant Manager will serve as a back-up plant manager, back-up store manager and, when needed, the yard supervisor. When required, job duties may include scheduling materials, bath plant operation and maintenance, product storage, concrete waste disposal , transportation of concrete products, personnel supervision and answering customer phone calls.
Job Duties:
- Assists in the supervision of roughly a dozen employees at assigned plant, including DOT drivers and yard personnel.
- Work in coordination with dispatch and sales teams to dispatch drivers and plant personnel to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Dispatch delivery drivers
- Inventory control includes ordering materials, equipment, and tools needed for daily plant production.
- Accurate reporting of cash sales, material inventory, purchase orders, equipment rentals and ticket reconciliation.
- Oversee and ensure completion of safety meetings, fuel forms and DOT trucking forms.
- Operate mixer trucks, front end loaders, dump trucks, and other equipment as necessary.
- Assist walk-in customers and take telephone calls regarding inquires and orders.
- Perform other jobs as needed by management.

Position Requirements Job Requirements:
- Preferred experience in a supervisor role
- Experience performing varied responsibilities related to plant production and maintenance, equipment maintenance, and experience in detecting and resolving production issues.
- Able to always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have a flexible work schedule including extended hours, weekend and holidays as needed
- Working knowledge of computer software
- Valid Medical Card
- Calid Class A or B CDL
