SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York. Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College is currently accepting applications for a part-time, Test Administrator in the Learning Assistance Department (LAD).
This position is needed for summer testing along with the fall and spring semesters. Hours worked will fluctuate and may include evening hours. The Test Administrator assists in the administration and proctoring of testing for the Testing Center. This position reports to the Chair of the LAD. Test Administrators also ensure students follow the Learning Assistance Department/Testing Center procedures and standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proctors a variety of computer-based and paper tests, including but not limited to course exams and other testing as needed.
- Performs data entry and assists with regular staff duties, such as filing, scanning, printing, and emailing exams.
- Inventories exams for upcoming appointments and communicates with instructors via email if exams are missing.
- Protects the confidentiality and security of all testing materials and other test documents while providing excellent customer service.
- Understands, adheres to, and enforces FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) guidelines.
- Reports academic dishonesty incidents to the LAD Chair. Assists with incidents by utilizing Testing Center Policy and assists in investigations as needed.
- Ensure that any equipment used during testing is working properly.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Willingness to watch training videos, review training manuals, along with short quizzes in preparation for proctoring student exams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people including students and faculty.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening hours.
Additional Information:
The hourly rate for this position is $19.29
