SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall clinical management of the clinical practices and programs assigned to the respective region, including direct supervision of site medical directors, and monitoring these practices and programs for meeting the organizations productivity goals, quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, and research initiatives. RESPONSIBILITITIES:
Management Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of practice site medical directors, with monthly meetings documented with minutes of meeting
- Monitors monthly:
- Sites’ productivity, site’s Quality Performance, Medical/Clinical Director’s Provider Evaluation at practice sites, Reviews all medical providers with Corrective Action plans for improvements; Regulatory Compliance of the practice sites (Joint Commission, NCQA), meets with site medical directors to review and recommend individual providers for re- credentialing, monitors open encounter reports of the region, monitors individual sites monthly participation in peer review Assures CQI participation of regional sites, reviews site’s staff meeting minutes; recruits for employment medical clinical staff in collaboration with site medical directors.
- Supervise the clinical performance of any training programs and trainees in collaboration with training program directors (e.g. Residency Program, Medical Student Rotations) at these sites
- Supervise the clinical performance or impact of any research programs operating at these site
- Collaborates with Nursing, Social Work and Administrative leadership in the hiring and evaluation of practice site managers
- Collaborates with site leadership to determine staffing needs of Monitors EOC reports of individual site
- Communicates with regional medical directors and regional medical providers all IFH senior management or corporate policies and procedures, and communicates with IFH senior management the needs or requests of providers or practice staff
- Supports the implementation of new clinical initiatives and programs, collaborating with applicable division leadership or management
- Collaborates and meets monthly with regional nursing, administrative and mental health/social service leadership
- Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of providers at these sites in collaboration with site directors
- Participation in the Administrative Management Group (AMG)
- Participation in the Clinical Operations leadership (COP)
- Participation in the Clinical Director’s Group (CDG)
- Participation in Credential committee
- Participation in the Regulatory committees and other committees as necessary
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Maintaining an active medical practice of 6 clinical sessions weekly

- Participation in Beth Israel Residency Faculty Meetings as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited medical school and an accredited residency program.
EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrates effective supervisory skills of clinicians
- Demonstrates superior clinical skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize care/ activities of multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Minimum of five years of clinical supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- NY State Medical License
- Board Admissible to respective specialty board
- Current BCLS
- Current DEA Certificate.
