Legal Support:
- Prepare, edit, and manage correspondence, legal documents, and presentations with a high degree of professionalism.
- Conduct thorough legal research and gather information pertinent to various legal matters.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
- Assist in preparing materials for meetings and other senior-level presentations.
- Contract Management:
- Independently draft, review, and or summarize a variety of contracts, including but not limited to NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Monitor contract deadlines and obligations, providing timely reminders and ensuring compliance.
- Maintain a central repository for all contracts and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Legal Operations:
- Support the implementation and management of legal department systems and processes, utilizing independent judgment to improve efficiency.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, providing strategic input.
- Track and report on key legal metrics and departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the legal team and other departments, acting as a key liaison.
- Strategic Project Management:
- Manage and coordinate special projects as assigned by the General Counsel, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and initiative.
- Provide strategic advice and support on various legal matters, leveraging contracts experience.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in an in-house legal department in a paralegal capacity preferred.
- Proactive, dynamic and result driven individual with attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm and “self-starter” qualities enabling the individual to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency; the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Intermediate level of understanding of legal terminology, principles, and contract law.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with legal research tools a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, and four (4) years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge of:
General office procedures, methods, and equipment including multi-line phones, copiers, facsimile machines, computers, and Microsoft Office software; filing systems, business correspondence, report writing procedures, policies and operations with respect to functions performed; English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. May require knowledge of some legal rules and procedures; legal terms, legal forms, and documents, and their processing; and proper format of legal citations.
Required Skills and Abilities to:
Independently perform administrative tasks; organize and carry out projects with minimal instruction; make sound work decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality and use independent judgment; maintain and update records and files, including a wide variety of office records and reports of some complexity; assess and set daily work priorities; business systems and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software; operate office equipment including computers and relevant supporting applications; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels within the organization, other agencies, regulatory agencies, etc. May require skills and abilities to type, format, file, and organize legal documents; independently perform complex legal secretarial work; interact with members of management, staff, outside counsel and other outside parties; use legal specific software.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
