How a Printer Systems Administrator will Make an Impact:
- As a Customer Windows Print Server Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's print infrastructure, ensuring high availability and efficiency of print services. You will work closely with both on-site and remote users to resolve printing issues, coordinate upgrades, and provide expert support for Windows print environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows print server infrastructure
- Manage print queues, drivers, and printer deployments across the organization
- Troubleshoot complex printing issues and provide timely resolutions
- Configure and maintain print security policies and access controls
- Monitor print server performance and implement optimizations
- Plan and execute print server upgrades and migrations
- Develop and maintain documentation for print server configurations and processes
- Collaborate with network and system teams to ensure print infrastructure aligns with overall IT strategy
- Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers various tasks
Required Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and print management.
- Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Staging and reimaging of Desktops and laptops using Windows AD and Microsoft SCCM
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy as it relates to printer deployment
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and printer protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex printing issues
- Security+ certification
Education:
- BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Security+ CE– must have before hire
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years experience with systems administration
- Security+ CE
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and print management.

- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Performs software upgrades, patch installs, firmware upgrades
- Diagnosis and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software
Security Clearance Level:
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
