What You Will Do:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for obtaining and verifying demographic information, insurance benefits and eligibility. Assigns the correct medical record and account number; therefore, providing a database which ensures accurate billing and clinical information. This position performs any and all job-related duties as assigned. This position is located at UAB Medical West Emergency Dept and is a full time, Night shift with a schedule of 10:00pm - 6:00am x 3 days a week Tue, Wed, and Thur with Mon & Fri 6p-6a and same schedule every other weekend.
What You Will Need:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a hospital setting, medical office, or a high-volume customer service environment.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
• Familiarity with medical terminology
