We are currently seeking a Lab Tech to work Monday - Friday 10a - 6:30p and rotating weekends.
- Phlebotomy duties.
- Routine laboratory procedures related to preparing human biological samples for microbiological, hematological, and chemical analysis.
- Performs routine and stat laboratory testing, including (but not necessarily limited to) CBC, BMP, CMP, PT, PTT, UA, PFA, rapid flu, rapid strep, occult blood, hCG, and hemoglobin A1c testing.
- Scanning of documents into patients' charts in Cerner.
- Other duties as needed by laboratory director or supervisor.
Required Skills: High School diploma or equivalent
Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology; or bachelor's in medical technology, clinical lab science or related science
ASCP or AMT registration as an MT/MLT/CLS preferred
At least one year experience in Laboratory setting
Phlebotomy certification or eligible preferred.
Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to detect color and color changes.
BLS by AHA or obtain within 30 days from hire date
