The Data Analyst II supports data analysis by translating business requirements into specifications and improving BI solutions. They assist senior analysts in handling requirements and ensuring data accuracy for BI reporting.
Position requirements
- This role supports business intelligence (BI) and data analysis by helping translate business needs into requirements and contributing to BI solutions.
- Major responsibilities include collaborating with team members to gather and detail business requirements, performing data analysis and testing, supporting data model and flow detailing.
- Your role will involve aligning data accurately with business needs, maintaining data integrity, and effectively communicating data insights. This will support decision-making and contribute to the successful delivery of Data projects.
- This position supports the development and maintenance of business analytics solutions by assisting in the translation of business requirements into deliverables.
- This role requires working closely with senior data analysts to analyze and validate data, contribute to data models, and support documentation efforts for consistent and accurate data representation.
- This position is vital for ensuring BI solutions meet business needs, improve data integrity, and support accurate, timely decision-making by providing valuable insights and reports aligned with organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
- 2 years of professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset.
Position accountabilities
- The role primarily interacts with collaborators from different departments to support BI and data-driven projects. Key contacts and the nature of communication include: Senior Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Developers, Business Collaborators.
- The role deals with moderately complex problems that require a basic understanding of business objectives.
- Innovation in the role typically focuses on finding efficient ways to integrate and streamline data across systems to improve reporting accuracy and usability.
- The position supports innovations by adapting and refining data analysis, testing new visualization techniques, and proposing improvements to data workflows and processes to ensure flawless data delivery.
