Plexus Scientific Corporation is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support Plexus's three Business Groups (Environmental Remediation, Environmental Compliance/Conservation/
NEPA, and IT/Professional Service) to develop and manage quality proposals and presentations in a deadline-driven environment.
The successful candidate must be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with a passion for producing top-quality proposals while maintaining a good mix of professionalism and creativity. They will have a strong sense of team camaraderie, the ability to work independently on assignments, the ability to multi-task, and know how to prioritize duties to meet deadlines.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the proposal process from RFP release to client delivery
- Prepare proposal outlines and templates based on RFP requirements
- Analyze proposal compliance elements and ensure that proposals meet requirements
- Prepare proposal schedules and track internal draft deadlines
- Assist with theme development
- Coordinate in-house and sub-consultant proposal team efforts
- Write non-technical portions of the proposals
- Create project write-ups and work with technical staff to finalize and keep them up to date
- Create and maintain resumes for technical staff
- Develop, conceptualize, and collaboratively work with the graphics team as needed to create visually appealing exhibits
- Coordinate reviews
- Assemble proposals
- Coordinate production and delivery
- Maintain proposal files
- Maintain proposal tracking database
- Draft and update corporate brochures, slick sheets, and marketing materials
- Update and maintain resumes, projects descriptions, and content for on-line dissemination
- Research and review RFPs from a variety of sources, including: beta.SAM, GSA, eVA, FedConnect, etc. Coordinator will need to understand the depth and breadth of company capabilities to provide suggestions on RFPs
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a Scientific field)
- 4-10+ years of related experience
- Excellent writing, proofreading, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to multi-task and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight
- Familiarity and understanding of government RFPs and associated requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in a design-based software such as Microsoft Publisher or Adobe, a plus
