Summary:
The Associate Director of Admissions Strategy & Operations will serve as co-functional lead for the Admission Office CRM, Technolutions Slate, and will assist in creating a culture of data-informed decision making by building statistical reports across the admission funnel to drive strategy for achieving enrollment goals. Duties include: innovating and maintaining the Skidmore Slate instance; collaborating with operations staff and Director of Admissions Strategy & Outreach to increase efficiency and accuracy of operations and processes; partnering across admission teams to enhance operational processing, assessment, and analytics.
In addition to the duties listed above, the Associate Director will effectively communicate the benefits of a Skidmore College education through virtual engagement and on- and off-campus events, read applications, and participate in student selection committee. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Primary duties:
- Serve as co-functional lead for the Admission CRM (Technolutions Slate), including shared responsibility for implementation, maintenance, innovation, process documentation, and staff training
- Prepare data analysis and build statistical reports across the admission cycle from prospect to enrollment; provide appropriate recommendations or conclusions extrapolated from aforementioned analysis and reporting to help define and attain enrollment goals
- Operationalize data-informed strategy for lead generation & funnel development, leveraging Slate queries, reports, and portals to meet goals
- With support from the Director of Strategy & Outreach, lead the admissions operations group, including training, with a focus on enhancing the innovation and execution of operations
- Communicate the benefits of Skidmore virtually and through on- and off-campus events (presentations at schools and community-based organizations, school counselor events, student-family events, online webinars, etc.)
- Participate in limited capacity in team reading and committee review of application files
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Uses knowledge of trends and best practices in college admissions to develop strategic questions and organize system data to make informed decisions that help meet enrollment goals
- Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM system and understanding of relational databases for strategic impact
- Strong computer skills and understanding of data tables with the ability to leverage excel for formulas, data manipulation, and spreadsheet compares
- Ability to work towards big-picture projects and initiatives by coordinating and following through with small details and tasks independently and swiftly
- Strong ability to focus on meeting long-term goals while juggling emerging short-term needs
- Time management and organizational skills in addition to the ability to take on projects independently
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work independently and lead a team
- Understanding of and willingness to grow in understanding of relational databases and the data architecture of Technolutions Slate in order to leverage data for reporting, assessment, analytics, and strategic decision making
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: minimum of 5+ years of experience in admissions with related experience in admissions systems and data
Salary range: $75,000-$85,000
